To setup a TikTok account:

1. Download TikTok from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Open the app.
3. Go to Me.
4. Choose a method to sign up.

 

Note: Make sure your email and phone number are valid as they are needed for log in and password recovery.

 

Adding a profile photo or video:

To add or change a profile photo or video:

 

1. Go to Me.
2. Tap Edit Profile.
3. Tap Change Photo or Change Video.
4. For photo, select Take a photo or Upload photo. For video, select from your gallery.

 

Note: Profile photos will not be visible on your profile once a profile video is set. Photos must be at least 20x20 pixels to upload.

 

Changing your username:

A username is the @username other TikTok users can use to tag or find you. A nickname is the name visible to users on your profile.

 

To change your username:

 

1. Go to Me.
2. Tap Edit profile.
3. Enter your desired username.

 

Note: Your username can only be changed once every 30 days. Usernames can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and periods. However, periods can't be put at the end of the username.

 

Linking another social media account: 

To add a social media account to a TikTok profile:

 

1. Go to Me.
2. Tap Edit profile.
3. Select Add Instagram to your profile or Add YouTube to your profile to link your social media accounts.
