What is Adobe?

The Adobe software package includes many useful tools for your business. These include Photoshop, Acrobat, E-Sign, and more.

Photoshop is a photo editing and graphic design software which allows you to create various graphics, designs and edit photographs. Files can be saved in a variety of formats to suit your requirements. Amongst many other things, you can:

  • Retouch an image
  • Enhance colours and vibrancy
  • Eliminate blurriness
  • Make old photographs look like new
  • Combine multiple photographs in to one image
  • Edit people or items out of photographs
  • Create designs for flyers or other artwork
  • Add a variety of filters and effects to designs or photographs

If you don’t have easy access to a printer and scanner, it can be a hassle to sign and return a document to someone. If you need your customers to sign something, whether it be a contract, an NDA, or a receipt, it can be far quicker and easier for them to ask them to ‘e-sign’ it instead.

An e-signature (or electronic signature) is a legal way to get consent or approval on electronic documents or forms and can replace a handwritten signature. They are legally valid and enforceable in almost every country in the world, and reduce the amount you spend on paper, ink, and postage costs.

Using software like Adobe Sign, you can upload the document, enter the persons email address and the document will be emailed to them for them to electronically sign by typing or drawing their name on their computer or mobile phone.

Adobe Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat enables you to covert a PDF into an editable document, allowing you can make changes to the text, add comments, or highlight relevant sections of the text. You can also covert almost any document into a PDF meaning you can create a file that is faster to load and email, and is not editable by the recipient (unless they have the relevant software).

For example, you can convert:

  • PDFs to Microsoft Word files.
  • PDF to PPT
  • PDFs to Microsoft PowerPoint files.
  • PDF to Excel
  • PDF to Image
  • PDFs to JPG, PNG or TIFF files.
  • Microsoft Word files to PDF.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint files to PDF.
  • Microsoft Excel files to PDF.
  • JPG to PDF
  • PNG to PDF

You can also use the software to compress PDF documents, reducing the size of them, to make them easier and faster to share by email.

If you have numerous separate PDF documents, you can combine them to create one single document file. In a multiple page document file, you can remove pages or rearrange the page order to suit.

Documents can be protected, meaning that you can send them to people to read and take away the ability for them to be able to edit, copy or even print them.
