What is the nature of your business / what services do you offer?
We are an event planning company within the northwest, and we plan parties and events from birthdays for ages 1 to 100, christenings, holy communions, weddings, engagements, baby showers, school disco, fairs and proms, corporate events and so much more.
How did you come to be in the industry you are in? What is your background?
Myself and my husband work in the business together. Dave has been a DJ for years and when we met I started helping him with the DJ jobs whilst I was also working in the hospitality sector. After a few years we decided to go for it and launch our own company at The Secret Warehouse, and we’re going from strength to strength.
How would you like your clients / customers to describe your business?
I like clients to describe my business as a family style business for the party and for the corporate side that we are a high-quality professional business.
What has been your greatest achievement to date?
Our greatest achievement is getting to 10 years in business and getting our Autism Champion company status as we like being accessible to all.
How does your business align with the values and ethos of the Secret Warehouse?
Our business aligns with The Secret Warehouse as we like ensure each and every party or event we do is special to that family or person or client, and amazing memories in the right atmosphere. We love creating amazing parties and events which works so well within the warehouse.
How has being a part of the Warehouse community benefitted your business?
Being a part of the warehouse has benefitted our business as the Residents support each other on social media as well as in The Warehouse. From supplying each other’s business to being able to support each through the highs and lows of being a business owner. You know in The Secret Warehouse you have got support around you at all times.
If you could give one piece of advice to anyone who wants to start their own business what would it be?
My piece of advice to anyone wants to start a business is to ensure you do your research and have everything ready for launching, be positive and know you can do this.
