 What is the nature of your business / what services do you offer?

Hairdressing & educator

 

How did you come to be in the industry you are in? What is your background?

I loved playing with hair from a child and went on to have a Saturday job in a salon. I went to college full time, part of which included offering services to the public in a hair salon. Once I completed college, I started working in numerous salons, not settling for long in one before moving on to the next. Fast forward to two kids and two dogs ....... lockdown made me think about my next step.

 

I’m actually a family member so the decision wasn't actually too hard to move into The Secret Warehouse. I can honestly say I have never been happier.  My clients love the atmosphere and I get to be around the people that I love.

 

I decided to do a teaching course in hair extensions as this is one of my favourite things to do. I am now qualified to teach. I enrol on courses often as it’s the industry where you always need to keep on top of skills and knowledge. Focusing on one module of hairdressing, hair extensions has been the key to me becoming a master in my field. I also offer two clinics in London and hope for another in Manchester or Glasgow.

 

How would you like your clients / customers to describe your business? 

A personal, professional service where they are in good hands.

 

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

Passing my educator’s course. I enjoy helping people and teaching is really enjoyable.

 

How does your business align with the values and ethos of the Secret Warehouse? 

Positivity, always pushing higher, always learning, and my attitude being ‘what will be will be’.

 

How has being a part of the warehouse community benefitted your business?

 

If you could give one piece of advice to anyone who wants to start their own business what would it be?

Go for it! Don’t listen to anyone else, listen to your heart.
